Hi, my name’s Rosanne, the creative force behind Cottage Luxe Boutique Event Rentals! Welcome to our ever evolving new website! I’m a wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend, and perpetual optimist. I love creating beautiful spaces. I also love nature, the great outdoors, music and a good movie. Fortunately, I live in North Carolina, one of the prettiest states in the country. So when I’m not home rearranging furniture, restyling my bookcases, researching paint colors, or sourcing for Cottage Luxe , I am usually outside—exploring, hiking, scouting flea markets, or taking in an outdoor concert.
I am a visual addict with a passion for home furnishings and interior design. I rhapsodize over upholstery and wax poetic over tableware. I also love incorporating natural elements into my home and designs every chance I get. (Seriously, I never met a pine cone I didn’t like.) My current obsessions: olive branches, ranunculus, marble and wood anything, leather accents and our beautiful farm tables.
My family, which includes my husband, Joe, our daughter, Dana (a junior at the University of Central Florida), and our son, JJ (a high school sophomore at Heritage High School), moved to Wake Forest from Long Island, New York in 2011. We added our affectionate rescue pup Skipper to the family in 2012. Joe and I were both born and raised in New York, Joe worked for Verizon for 31 years in New York City and I did a 10 year stint in the Corporate Events and Travel Department at NBC at the famed 30 Rock building. I then worked as an Independent Sales Consultant, for Southern Living at Home (Home Accessories Division) where I attained Director status, while raising our children.
New York will always have a place in our hearts, but we are so very happy here, the slower pace and the easy access to nature fits us better, it feels like we were always meant to live here.
The Good Life
What happens when you put together a long rustic farm table, lots of good food, and a group of family and friends? Endless hours of joy and laughter, in my experience. I love setting up our farm table with good food, pretty plates, and lots of candles, and then inviting friends and family over to eat. This is my idea of happiness, beautiful gatherings with loved ones are so good for the soul.
As my interior design business evolved into our boutique event rental business, the first thing we thought of offering for rent was a signature farm table, because we wanted to share this joie de vivre with other groups of family and friends.
Cottage Luxe is the Boutique Event Rental Company that my husband ( #mrluxe) and I created to parlay my passion for interior design into something viable. Mr. Luxe’s penchant for organization and years of servicing his clients expertly, has great benefit, as he runs the Warehouse and Delivery Operations.
A Niche to Fill
The North Carolina events scene is a dynamic and abundantly creative marketplace. (Don’t be surprised, if you see a wedding being held in a barn, or a re-purposed chapel. Or attend a corporate event in a factory mill.)
Realizing the need for a different type of event rental company — one that would offer a more cohesive, elegant style and cater to the requirements of unique weddings and events — was what led us to creating Cottage Luxe.
After attending a creative workshop last March, we decided to go full force with the boutique event rentals business. We had found the perfect direction that fit our skills, our lifestyle, and the beautiful environment we live in.
Cottage Luxe offers a carefully curated selection of tables, chairs, furniture, tableware, and accent pieces you need to create the casually elegant, and memorable, event of your dreams.
